What is The Difference Between Explosion-Proof Solenoid Valve and Ordinary Solenoid Valve

Dec. 23, 2020

Solenoid Valve is an industrial equipment controlled by electromagnetic. It is an automatic basic component used to control fluid. It belongs to the actuator and is not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic. Used in the industrial control system to adjust the direction, flow, speed and other parameters of the medium. The solenoid valve can cooperate with different circuits to complete the expected control, and the accuracy and flexibility of the control can be guaranteed.

There are many kinds of solenoid valves, which can be divided into one-way valves, safety valves, directional control valves, speed control valves, etc. according to different solenoid valves in different positions of the control system.

Principle of explosion-proof solenoid valve

There is a closed cavity in the solenoid valve with through holes in different positions. Each hole is connected to a different oil pipe. The center of the cavity is a piston. There are two electromagnets on both sides. The magnet coil on which side is energized will be attracted to the valve body. On either side, by controlling the movement of the valve body to open or close the different oil discharge holes, and the oil inlet is normally open, the hydraulic oil will enter the different oil discharge pipes, and then the piston of the cylinder will be pushed by the oil pressure. The piston drives the piston rod, and the piston rod drives the mechanical equipment. In this way, the specific mechanical movement is controlled by the current switching of the electromagnet.

The difference between explosion-proof solenoid valve and general solenoid valve

The difference between the General Solenoid Valve and the explosion-proof solenoid valve is reflected in the wiring box. The so-called explosion-proof means that the current energy conversion caused by the electromagnetic head lock is not enough to ignite the corresponding ambient gas. To put it simply, the energy required by the electromagnetic head action is exposed to It is dangerous under combustible gas.

The explosion-proof solenoid valve encloses all the parts of the equipment or the explosive gas mixture in a shell. The shell can withstand any joint surface or structural void of the shell, and the flammable mixture that penetrates into the shell bursts inside without being damaged. Moreover, it will not cause the ignition of an external explosive environment formed by one or more gases or vapors. All parts that may cause sparks, arcs and dangerous temperatures are placed in the flameproof enclosure. The flameproof enclosure makes the internal space of the equipment Separated from the surrounding environment. There are vacancies in the flameproof enclosure. Due to the breathing effect and gas penetration effect of electrical equipment, there may be explosive gas mixtures inside.

Advantages of explosion-proof solenoid valve

1. The Explosion-Proof Solenoid Valve has a long operating life.

2. Explosion-proof solenoid valve operation system: divided into long-term operation system, repeated short-time operation system and short-time operation system. Explosion-proof solenoid valves are all long-term operation systems, that is, the coil allows long-term energized operation. Regarding the long-term valve registration only needs to be closed for a short time, normally open solenoid valve should be used. When used in short-time operation system and large batches, special order can be made to reduce power consumption

3. Explosion-proof solenoid valve operating frequency: When the operating frequency is high, the structure should preferably be a direct-acting solenoid valve, and the power supply should be preferably connected.
